Poor man. how can we ever comprehend/understand what he had went through? It's not easy being trapped in a paralysed body. His brain can function almost normally and he's able to hear and reason what was said around him. However, his main problem was that he couldnt respond. It's a sad and tragic case. Fortunately, his mother has faith in him and does not give up on her son. Not even after 23 years. Nothing can be compared to the great of a mother's love.

Im grateful for the love and care from my mum and dad. im sure if this happens to me, they will not/never give up on me.

I need some HELP.

i dunno how i got this blue black on my big toe. it really hurts big time. my dad warned me that the toe nail may drop off. omfg. anyone knows any remedy for a bruised toe?

we had a great time in HK! =) din want to come back here at all!!!...On average, the food cost about S$10 per serving. E.g. Pork Chop Curry rice HKG$50 per serving, about S$10. Quite expensive....To travel around, buy an Octopus Card (our EZ link card). HKGS150 (HKG$100 value; HKG$50 deposit). Convenient to travel around in MTR. Taxis are too expensive. A trip (approx. 45 mins journey) from the airport to our hotel costs HKG$330 (about S$66). ...Ladies Street night market, the stall holders are really rude and fierce. Try not to buy from them. I kena ripped off by a lady. Bought a bag for my aunty at HKG$200 (about S$40). I took out the money in my hand, still in the process of negotiating the price. I told her to let me check the bag, she took the money from my hand, passed me the bag. I told her I need to check, she insisted it was a new piece. I kept telling her I would not take it if it's damaged, but she just ignored me and talked to her partner. i decided to leave to avoid an ugly scene. When I had the chance to sit down, I took out the bag, there were stains. =( Couldnt remember which stall or which lady sold it to me, cuz all of them looked the same. Deicded to ask politely one by one, if they could do an exchange for me, assuming they were the ones who sold the bag to me. NONE OF THEM admitted that they sold me the bag. =( Bad experience. ...Causeway Bay is a very good place to shop for trendy items. You can shop till you drop! Small shopping area - Causeway Place, is similar Bugis street 2nd level shops. Jardine's Crescent is more of a roadside market selling inexpensive accessories like leggings. Mong Kok is also good, especially Sai Yeung Choi Street South. bought a pair of boots, flats and heels. =x...Mega Shopping Malls like ELEMENTS, Times Square, IFC, Langham Place, SOHO, etc. They sell goods that are similar to Singapore. So nothing much to buy really. But baby got a good deal at SOGO for his camera accessories. SOGO was celebrating their 10th Anniversary. Longchamp medium size tote was going at HKG$400 (60% discount)!!! I wanted to buy, but baby said everyone is carrying it. tsk...=( HOT PINK colour leh...so bad right. should have bought. rem to go their H&M. bought a bag and a set of panties. haha....Overall a good trip! enjoyed ourselves!!

this trip was super duper fun despite the bad weather (1st 2 days heavy rain!).
even though we din get to go disneyland (apparently a waste of time) & Madame Tussauds (no time to go) & The Peak (Bad weather), it was still an eye-opening experience for us. we walked from one MTR station to another...taking pictures of people, old buildings, interesting road signs, etc. ate food from road stalls, bought stuffs from night markets, took cable car, went macau, and so on...

love the weather there. the lowest was at 10 deg c. super cold. =)

Friday the 13th - Black Friday

- had an interview with xxx company. was told to just give her name at the security area. asked for her contact, DID or email, she said not necessary.

- reached at 930am, went to the security, gave her name and dept. was told "THERE'S NO SUCH PERSON"!! wtf??

- there was no way i could contact her. decided to sit at starbucks and wait for her to call.

- finally, she called. met her, and she asked me if i know what the role is about. i told her what i understand from their website. then she widened her eyes, and stared at me. she told me she is looking for SALES people, NOT marketing.

- OK! big misunderstanding and miscommunication i guess.

- she was really kind and told me if i still cant get a job in dec, give her a call.

Enlarged pores?
Don't be embarrass about it!
...One of my friends, J, is always embarrassed about the enlarged pores on her face. she will try to conceal them by applying a layer of concealer meant for the eye area, and another layer of foundation. Unfortunately, instead of getting good coverage, her makeup looks very "cakey" due to the thick consistency for eye concealer.
...Pores are a natural part of our skin. Obviously, all of us has pores on our faces. However, some pores appear larger than life.
...During the last visit to my dermatologist, I read from a brouchure that the most common contributing factor to visible pores come from dead skin cells, oils and bacteria clogging the follicular opening, hence, expanding the diameter of the pores.
...Another reason is due to the shadow caused by light and shine from excess sebum, making the appearance of the pores seemingly more obvious.
...It is really not possible to minimise our enlarged pores overnight. All we can do is to minimise the visibility. How to do that? A chat with my gfs led us to believe that the best solution is to create an illusion!!! (like magic! David Blaine is good with illusion!)
....Ettusais new product, "AC Pore Smooth Concealer", fits our needs to the T!...


I was super excited when i received this product because I know it's gonna come in handy for J! Because i'm still mugging for my exams, i asked her to come over my place to try out the Pore Smooth Concealer.


see the end results! it really does minimise the visibility of the enlarged pores. it's all illusion! haha. This product helps to disperse the light to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores! magic!
...p/s: there's NO Photoshop/airbrush/DIY done to the above pictures. The effect is true to the pic. The "AFTER" picture is taken after the application of AC Pore Smooth Concealer & loose powder.

For Dorcas: Medicated Acne Gentle Wash

- after rinsing ur face and hands, work up a rich lather with the soap and cover the entire face with it, massaging gently.
- rinse with generous amounts of water.

The way to create a good lather:
- add a generous amount of water before lathering (with water in your hands, rub the soap to generate "bubbles". keep on doing it till the foam is firm) vigorously.
- lather should be firm enough so that when the palm of the hand is turned upside down, it does not fall.
- gently wash the face, feeling the cushioning effect on the skin.
- when rinsing, make sure that no excess soap remains around hairline areas.
- dry by pressing the towel gently to the face.
